- Friday Feasts at The PigPen
We don't share the space with the pigs any more, but this was where our lovely tamworths lived for a while.
Now, we have Friday Feasts
with fires, music and delicious
home-made supper.
Doors open at 6.30 pm
food served from 7.00pm
(Most dietary requirements can be catered for if ordered in advance)
Book your place by emailing Kath -
kath@thepigpen.net
All glasses, crockery and cutlery are provided,
even fires and blankets to keep you warm on chilly nights.
The PigPen has always strived towards being eco friendly. We aim
to avoid the use of single-use plastic. Bring your own drink in tins and glass bottles - and take them home empty to pop in your recycling!
We are always looking to improve the quality of the PigPen experience, and already aim to source most ingredients locally.
From September 2021 we increased the use of locally sourced and organic ingredients. Warm home-made bread made with Stoates organic flour from Cann Mills near Shaftesbury can be slathered with organic butter on arrival.
We have been successful in finding locally produced woodland reared pork from Dinnington estate farm, ruby red beef from Nick Wakely at Compton Durville and lamb, reared on the family farm in Dorset.
We are keen vegetable growers and supply the Pigpen Feasts with our very own home grown veg wherever possible.
Our charcoal towers will keep you warm outside, and we are now using 'restaurant quality' charcoal sustainably produced by
The Dorset Charcoal Company,
from woodland in Dorset - look out for the info brochure!
Bring your own instrument along if you fancy a bit of music later in the evening!
The PigPen is looking forward to welcoming you soon
